The TUNGALOY 6808619 is a TNMG432SA AH120 grade solid carbide turning insert designed for high-productivity metal cutting in CNC and manual lathe applications. The insert carries a PVD-applied TiAlN coating over a carbide substrate, delivering heat resistance and wear performance across a broad range of workpiece materials. Key dimensions include a 0.5-inch inscribed circle, a 0.866-inch insert length, and a 0.0315-inch corner radius. The SA chip breaker geometry and honed cutting edge support stable chip control during turning, facing, and boring operations. Installation is performed by licensed machinists and CNC operators working within standard toolholder setups.
This insert is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, K, S, and H. It fits residential and commercial machine shop environments as well as production manufacturing lines. The TNMG-SA series geometry is commonly used in medium to heavy roughing and semi-finishing passes. With six available cutting edges per insert and a neutral hand orientation, it delivers consistent performance in turning, facing, and boring setups across a wide range of depth-of-cut applications up to 0.1575 inches.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit insert for TNMG-series toolholders accepting TNMG 432 geometry inserts per ANSI and ISO standards. Compatible with material grades P15, P25, M15, M25, K15, K30, S10, and S25. ISO code TNMG432SA, industry standard number TNMG 432 SA.
Insert installation and replacement should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked before handling. Use a torque wrench appropriate to the toolholder manufacturer specifications when seating the clamping screw. Inspect the toolholder pocket and locating pin for wear or damage before each insert change. Follow applicable ANSI and ISO safe machining practices for insert handling and disposal of worn carbide tooling.
