The TUNGALOY 6771201 is a solid carbide replaceable drill tip designed for the DMP series modular drilling system. Carrying the AH9130 grade designation and a PVD-applied TiAlN coating, this tip delivers wear resistance and thermal stability in demanding holemaking operations. It features a 140-degree drill point angle with a standard point geometry, a 2-flute helical configuration, and a cutting diameter of 0.5004 inches. The tip is held in place by a clamp-style insert seat (size 12) and is installed by licensed machinists and tooling specialists in production and job-shop environments.
This replaceable drill tip is intended for holemaking applications across a broad range of primary workpiece materials, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys and titanium. The ISO number DMP127 corresponds to an insert seat size 12 body. The regular spiral flute design promotes chip evacuation in both short and moderate-depth holes. Coolant-through capability is not available on this tip. It is suited for CNC turning centers, machining centers, and dedicated drill presses where modular tooling systems are in use.
Designed as a replaceable tip for the TUNGALOY DMP series modular drill body, ISO number DMP127, insert seat size 12. Compatible workpiece material codes are P, M, K, and S, covering steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and superalloys and titanium.
Installation and replacement of this drill tip should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and locked out before seating or removing the tip. Use the correct torque wrench and clamp hardware specified by the tool body manufacturer for insert seat size 12. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping surfaces for chips or debris before seating the new tip to ensure accurate positioning and prevent premature wear.
