True Blue 124241 Fiberglass Air Filter 24x24x1 Merv 2

Product Description

The TRUE BLUE 124241 is a 24x24x1 inch fiberglass air filter rated MERV 2, designed to provide basic system protection for residential and light commercial forced-air HVAC systems. At this rating, the filter captures large airborne particles such as carpet fibers, dust mites, and pollen before they reach the blower, heat exchanger, or coil. It is intended as a low-resistance, high-airflow option suited for systems where maintaining unrestricted airflow is the priority. Filter service life is up to 30 days under normal operating conditions. Replacement is handled by HVAC technicians or building maintenance personnel as part of routine preventive maintenance.

This filter fits standard 24x24x1 inch filter slots found in return air grilles, filter cabinets, and air handler units in residential and light commercial applications. Its fiberglass media construction makes it appropriate for systems that require minimal static pressure drop. It is commonly installed in equipment rooms, rental properties, and commercial spaces where frequent filter changes are standard practice and basic system protection is the primary objective.

Installation Notes

Power down or set the thermostat to off before replacing the filter to prevent unfiltered air from being drawn through the system during the swap. Confirm airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with the direction of airflow toward the blower before seating the filter. Dispose of the used filter in accordance with local waste handling practices. MERV 2 filters should be checked and replaced on a 30-day schedule or more frequently in high-dust environments.
