The TRU-MAXX 66253292452 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel designed for precision stock removal and surface finishing on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built with aluminum oxide abrasive grain and a vitrified bond, this wheel delivers consistent, controlled cutting action across a range of surface grinding applications. At 8 inches in diameter and 3/4 inches thick with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole, it mounts to standard surface grinders. The 60-grit rating provides a medium-coarse cut suitable for rapid material removal while leaving a workable surface finish. Maximum operating speed is 3,600 RPM.
This wheel is suited for surface grinding operations in machine shops, tool rooms, and maintenance environments. The vitrified bond offers rigidity and porosity, which aids in coolant penetration and chip clearance during wet or dry grinding. The G hardness code places this wheel in the soft-to-medium hardness range, making it a practical choice when grinding harder materials where a softer wheel grades down to expose fresh abrasive. Licensed machinists, tool and die makers, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers and users of this product.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit grinding wheel for horizontal-spindle surface grinders accepting a Type 1 wheel with an 8-inch diameter, 3/4-inch face width, and 1-1/4-inch arbor hole.
Surface grinding wheels must be installed by qualified personnel following ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels. Always perform a ring test before mounting to check for cracks, and confirm the machine spindle speed does not exceed the 3,600 RPM maximum marked on the wheel. Power down and lock out the grinder before mounting or removing the wheel. Never exceed the rated maximum speed and always use the correct flanges and blotters when securing the wheel to the spindle.
