The TRU-MAXX 66253291643 is an aluminum oxide mounted point designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface blending on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a ball-shaped abrasive head (Point Shape Code A24) with a vitrified bond, which holds abrasive grains firmly during high-speed operation. At 60 grit with a medium grade, this mounted point removes material efficiently while leaving a moderately smooth finish. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard die grinder collets, and the part is rated to a maximum of 56,000 RPM. Machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians typically use this type of mounted point for interior grinding, cavity work, and weld cleanup.
This mounted point is suited for die grinding applications in production machining, tool and die shops, and general maintenance environments. The ball profile makes it well suited for contoured surfaces, radius blending, and reaching into cavities or recesses that flat or cylindrical wheels cannot access. The aluminum oxide abrasive is a general-purpose material that performs reliably on steel, cast iron, and similar hard materials. It is sold individually per package.
Designed for use with die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4 inch collet. Verify that the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 56,000 RPM maximum rating before use.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with abrasive tooling. Before mounting, confirm the die grinder collet is clean and sized for a 1/4 inch shank. Secure the shank fully into the collet and tighten to the tool manufacturer specification before operating. Never exceed the 56,000 RPM maximum speed rating marked for this mounted point, and always wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable ANSI B11 or OSHA abrasive safety guidelines during use.
