The TRU-MAXX 66253291524 is an aluminum oxide mounted point designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing on metal workpieces. It features an inverted cone cupped end profile (shape code A31) with a vitrified bond that holds the 60-grit abrasive grain firmly under load. The 1/4-inch shank diameter fits standard die grinders and rotary tools commonly used in fabrication, maintenance, and tool-and-die work. At a maximum operating speed of 27,780 RPM, this mounted point delivers consistent stock removal at medium grade aggression. Machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabricators reach for this style of point when working in recessed areas, bores, and contoured surfaces that larger wheels cannot access.
This mounted point is suited for internal grinding, weld cleanup, and cavity finishing in both shop and field environments. The aluminum oxide abrasive performs well on hardened steel, cast iron, and general ferrous metals. The inverted cone cupped end geometry makes it particularly effective in angled recesses and die cavities where flat-face wheels lose contact. The 1-3/8-inch head thickness provides adequate surface area for moderate material removal without sacrificing control on detail work. It is sold individually and carries a minimum order quantity of 5 units.
Designed for use with die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 1/4-inch shank collet. Suitable for ferrous metal grinding applications including steel, cast iron, and similar hard materials.
Mounted points must be installed and used by personnel familiar with abrasive wheel safety per ANSI B11 and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.215 guidelines. Always verify the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 27,780 RPM maximum rating marked on this product before mounting. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and discard any damaged point immediately. Run the mounted point at operating speed in a guarded area for at least one minute before applying it to the workpiece.
