The TRU-MAXX 66253269784 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel designed for bench and surface grinder applications. Made from aluminum oxide abrasive, it measures 8 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch thick, with a 1-1/4 inch arbor hole. The wheel is rated at 46 grit with an H hardness code, placing it in the coarse grade and soft hardness range — a combination suited for rapid stock removal on ferrous metals. Maximum operating speed is 3,105 RPM. The ruby-colored aluminum oxide construction delivers consistent cut rate on steel and cast iron workpieces. Grinding technicians and machinists working in tool rooms, maintenance shops, and production environments are the primary installers and users of this wheel.
This wheel fits standard bench grinders and surface grinders with a 1-1/4 inch arbor spindle. The Type 1 straight-wheel profile is the most common configuration for flat surface grinding and off-hand tool sharpening. The coarse 46 grit is appropriate for aggressive material removal, weld dressing, and deburring operations where surface finish is secondary to stock removal rate. The non-porous, no-recess design simplifies mounting and is compatible with standard wheel flanges and blotters.
Designed as a direct-mount replacement for Type 1 straight grinding wheels on bench grinders and surface grinders fitted with a 1-1/4 inch arbor spindle.
Grinding wheel installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or grinding equipment operator following ANSI B7.1 safety standards for the use, care, and protection of abrasive wheels. Before mounting, inspect the wheel for cracks using the ring test, and never exceed the stated maximum RPM of 3,105. Power down and lock out the grinder before changing wheels, and always use proper flanges and blotters when securing the wheel to the spindle. Eye protection and a properly adjusted wheel guard are required during operation.
