The TRU-MAXX 66253269720 is a Type 1 surface grinding wheel engineered for precision stock removal and surface finishing on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built with a ceramic abrasive grain and a vitrified bond, this wheel delivers consistent cut rates and thermal resistance throughout its service life. At 60 grit with an I hardness code and a grain structure rating of 6, it falls in the medium-grade range and suits applications where controlled material removal and a reasonably smooth finish are both required. The non-porous construction and vitrified bond promote free cutting action while maintaining wheel integrity at rated speed. Licensed tradespeople working in tool-and-die, maintenance, and production grinding environments are the primary users of this wheel.
This wheel is suited for use on horizontal-spindle surface grinders commonly found in machine shops, maintenance facilities, and production grinding operations. The Type 1 straight-wheel profile mounts directly to standard surface grinder spindles. With a 7-inch diameter, 1/4-inch thickness, and 1-1/4-inch arbor hole, it fits a range of light- to medium-duty surface grinding machines. The 60-grit ceramic abrasive handles ferrous metals effectively, making it a practical choice for surface preparation, flat grinding, and toolroom work requiring repeatable results.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit grinding wheel for horizontal-spindle surface grinders accepting a Type 1 straight wheel with a 7-inch diameter, 1/4-inch thickness, and 1-1/4-inch arbor hole.
Grinding wheel installation and dressing must be performed by qualified personnel familiar with ANSI B11.9 and applicable shop safety standards. Before mounting, inspect the wheel for cracks or chips using the ring test — do not use a damaged wheel. Power down and lock out the grinder before changing wheels. Never exceed the 3600 RPM maximum operating speed marked on the wheel, and always install the appropriate wheel flanges and blotters as required by the machine manufacturer.
