The TRIUMPH TWIST DRILL 099104 is a 15-piece reduced shank drill bit set built for metalworking and multipurpose drilling applications. Each bit is manufactured from high-speed steel with an oxide finish and features a 135-degree split-point tip that starts on contact without center-punching. The reduced shank diameter of 3/8 inches allows the full range of bit sizes to fit standard 3/8-inch chuck capacity drills. Bit sizes step in 1/32-inch increments from 1/16 inch up to 1/2 inch, giving tradespeople the range needed to cover most fastener and pilot hole requirements. The set ships in a metal storage case and is rated for heavy-duty use.
This set is suited for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general mechanical trades where drilling through sheet metal, light structural steel, and similar materials is routine. Jobber-length geometry keeps the bits manageable in tight spaces while still providing enough flute length for most panel and enclosure work. The 135-degree split point is particularly useful on harder metals and coated surfaces where standard 118-degree bits tend to walk. The metal case keeps bits organized and protected between jobs, making this set a practical addition to a service vehicle or shop toolbox.
Designed for use with standard 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch chuck power drills and drill presses. Compatible with metalworking applications including sheet metal, mild steel, and multipurpose materials. Part of the TRIUMPH TWIST DRILL T815HD series.
Drill bit sets should be installed and changed by qualified tradespeople following standard lockout/tagout procedures before securing or removing bits from a drill chuck. Always verify chuck size compatibility before inserting a reduced shank bit. When drilling metal, use appropriate cutting fluid where required and wear approved eye protection per applicable job-site safety standards. Bits should be inspected for wear or damage before each use and replaced when cutting edges show visible deterioration.
