The TRIUMPH TWIST DRILL 012635 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in metal, alloy steel, carbon steel, and wood. Built from M7 high-speed steel with a gold oxide coating, it delivers improved wear resistance and heat reduction during high-speed drilling operations. The bit is sized at wire gauge 35, equivalent to 0.1100 inches in diameter, with a 135-degree split-point tip that reduces walking and enables self-centering starts without a center punch. Overall length is 2-5/8 inches with a 1-1/2-inch flute length. This is a heavy-duty, high-performance bit suited for use by machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabricators working with precision hole tolerances in production or field settings.
The 012635 fits standard jobber-length drill applications in light manufacturing, maintenance and repair, and fabrication shops. Its straight cylindrical shank seats in standard 3-jaw chucks on bench drill presses, hand drills, and CNC drilling setups. The 135-degree split point and web-thinned, tapered web construction make it especially effective when drilling alloy steel, carbon steel, and hard wood where conventional 118-degree bits walk or require excessive feed pressure. The T2HD series designation indicates a heavy-duty grade within the TRIUMPH TWIST DRILL line.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber-length drill bit for use in standard 3-jaw drill chucks accepting a 0.1100-inch straight cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include alloy steel, alloy, carbon steel, and wood as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with drill press and hand-drill operation. Ensure the drill chuck is fully tightened and the workpiece is firmly secured before drilling. Verify spindle speed is appropriate for the material and bit diameter before starting. Do not apply side-loading force to the shank, as this can cause bit deflection or breakage in small-diameter jobber bits.
