The TRIUMPH TWIST DRILL 012619 is a jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance metal and wood drilling in demanding trade and industrial applications. Built from M7 high-speed steel with a gold oxide finish, this bit delivers extended tool life and reduced friction at the cutting edge. The 135-degree split point with web thinning and a self-centering tip allows the bit to start on contact without a center punch, reducing setup time. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.1660 inches in diameter, matching the wire gauge No. 19 drill size. Overall length is 3.25 inches with a flute length of 2.125 inches.
This bit is suited for production drilling in alloy steel, carbon steel, and wood in both shop and field environments. The T2HD series targets heavy-duty applications where standard HSS bits wear prematurely. Machinists, maintenance technicians, pipefitters, and fabricators working with ferrous metals and structural materials will find this bit appropriate for tight-tolerance hole work. The regular spiral flute pattern evacuates chips efficiently during through-hole and blind-hole drilling at standard feed and speed rates for HSS tooling.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for any application requiring a wire gauge No. 19 (0.1660 inch) jobber-length drill bit with a straight shank, rated for alloy steel, carbon steel, and wood workpiece materials.
Installation is performed by machinists, maintenance technicians, or fabricators using a standard drill press, lathe tailstock, or hand-held power drill with a compatible chuck. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank fully in the chuck before operation and verify the chuck key is removed before starting the spindle. Match feed rate and spindle speed to the workpiece material using a standard HSS speed-and-feed chart to avoid overheating the cutting edge. Do not force the bit through hardened material beyond its rated material grade.
