The TRIUMPH TWIST DRILL 012613 is a jobber-length drill bit in wire gauge size 13, measuring 0.1850 inches in diameter. Built from M7 high speed steel with an oxide and gold coating, it is engineered for heavy-duty cutting performance in demanding shop and field environments. The 135-degree split point is web-thinned for self-centering entry, reducing the need for a center punch on most materials. Overall length is 3.5 inches with a 2.3125-inch flute. The straight cylindrical shank and regular spiral flute geometry make this a standard fit for most drill chucks. Machinists, maintenance technicians, and fabricators working in metal and wood applications are the primary installers.
This bit is suited for drilling into alloy steel, carbon steel, and wood in both production and maintenance-repair settings. The T2HD series designation indicates a heavy-duty grade designed to handle tougher workpiece materials without premature dulling. The gold oxide finish reduces friction and helps extend cutting life. It works well in hand drills, drill presses, and CNC setups where a straight cylindrical shank is appropriate. Coolant-through capability is not supported, so this bit is intended for standard dry or externally lubricated cutting applications.
Designed as an OEM-style jobber-length drill bit compatible with standard straight-shank drill chucks across hand drills, drill presses, and CNC equipment accepting wire gauge size 13 tooling in the 0.1500 to 0.2000 inch diameter range.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by machinists or qualified tradespeople familiar with rotary cutting tools and safe drilling practices. Ensure the chuck is fully tightened and the workpiece is securely clamped before drilling. Select appropriate feed rate and speed for the workpiece material to avoid overheating the cutting edge. External cutting fluid or lubrication is recommended when drilling steel to preserve edge life, as this bit does not support coolant-through operation.
