The TRITAN CF 12 is a female plain rod end with a ball joint linkage design, built for mechanical linkage and motion-control applications where angular misalignment must be accommodated. The housing is carbon steel with a zinc-plated finish, and both the raceway and ball are steel for durable metal-to-metal contact. It carries a maximum static load capacity of 14,290 pounds, making it suitable for heavy-duty linkage assemblies. The 3/4-16 right-hand shank thread and 3/4-inch bore diameter are standard inch-series dimensions that align with widely used clevis pins and connecting rods. Maintenance technicians, millwrights, and mechanical contractors install this type of hardware in industrial and commercial equipment linkages.
This rod end fits into linkage systems where a female threaded housing threads onto a control rod or actuator shaft. The right-hand thread direction simplifies assembly with standard fasteners. A maximum ball swivel angle of 24 degrees allows for angular misalignment compensation in pivoting or oscillating mechanisms. The zinc-plated coating provides basic corrosion resistance in moderate-duty environments. It is sold individually and is a direct replacement or upgrade component in linear motion assemblies across a range of industrial machinery, HVAC actuator linkages, and mechanical control systems.
Designed as an OEM-style or replacement female rod end for mechanical linkage assemblies using 3/4-16 right-hand threaded rods with a 3/4-inch bore clevis pin or equivalent connecting hardware.
Installation is performed by millwrights or mechanical technicians familiar with linkage assembly procedures. Relieve all load and de-energize any actuator or connected mechanism before removing or installing rod ends. Thread the housing fully onto the rod until the correct engagement depth is achieved and secure with a jam nut where required to prevent back-out under vibration. Do not exceed the rated static load capacity or the 24-degree swivel limit, as overloading or over-angulation can damage the ball and raceway.
