The TRISTAR DRF-0610-6 is a flanged sleeve bearing machined from Rulon LR, a self-lubricating PTFE-based composite material. It features a plain bore with a 3/8 inch inner diameter and a 5/8 inch outer diameter, making it suitable for light- to medium-duty rotary and oscillating shaft applications. The flange measures 7/8 inch in outer diameter with a 1/8 inch flange thickness, providing a positive axial stop and easy press-fit installation. Overall length is 3/4 inch. The bearing is rated to a maximum pressure-velocity of 10000 psi, supporting demanding load and speed conditions without the need for external lubrication. Maintenance technicians, millwrights, and equipment service technicians typically install this part in rotating machinery, small motors, and mechanical assemblies.
The DRF-0610-6 is suited for use in residential and light commercial equipment where a compact, maintenance-free plain bearing is required. Common applications include small electric motors, fan assemblies, pumps, and conveyor or linkage mechanisms. The self-lubricating Rulon LR material eliminates the need for grease fittings or re-lubrication intervals, making it practical for installations where ongoing bearing service is difficult or undesirable. The flanged design simplifies alignment and axial retention during installation, reducing assembly time in the field or on the bench.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement flanged sleeve bearing for equipment requiring a plain bore bearing with a 3/8 inch ID, 5/8 inch OD, and 3/4 inch overall length in Rulon LR material.
Installation is typically performed by a millwright, maintenance technician, or equipment service professional. De-energize and lock out all power to the equipment before removing the worn bearing or beginning installation. The flanged sleeve bearing is generally pressed or lightly driven into the housing bore; use an arbor press and a properly sized driver to avoid cocking or deforming the bearing during installation. Confirm shaft diameter and housing bore dimensions match the bearing specifications before installation.
