The TRIPP LITE SMART3000RM2U is a 3000VA rack-mount uninterruptible power supply designed for enterprise and data center environments. It delivers conditioned, battery-backed power to servers, networking equipment, and other critical loads mounted in standard equipment racks. The unit occupies 2U of rack space, making it a practical choice for installations where vertical real estate is limited. IT administrators, licensed electricians, and data center technicians are the primary installers. With a 3000VA capacity, it is sized for mid-range server loads and network closets that require reliable power protection against outages, sags, and surges.
This UPS is suited for rack-mounted deployments in server rooms, telecommunications closets, and enterprise IT environments. It is appropriate for both new installations and as a replacement unit in existing rack infrastructure. The 2U form factor fits standard 19-inch equipment racks commonly found in commercial and light industrial facilities. It provides battery backup and power conditioning for connected equipment during utility power interruptions, allowing for graceful shutdowns or continued operation depending on load and battery runtime.
Designed as an OEM-style rack-mount UPS replacement or new installation unit for enterprise power protection applications in standard 19-inch equipment racks.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or certified IT infrastructure technician familiar with NEC guidelines for UPS and power distribution equipment. Power down all connected loads before servicing or replacing the unit. Verify that the rack structure can support the weight of the UPS before mounting, and follow the manufacturer rack-mount hardware instructions for proper rail installation. Do not connect the UPS to a downstream circuit protected by a GFCI outlet.
