The TRINITY BRAND INDUSTRIES M-SN-25 is a Type 302 stainless steel shim stock roll used to fill gaps, align components, and set precise clearances in mechanical and industrial assemblies. The roll measures 50 inches long by 6 inches wide and has a uniform thickness of 0.025 inches throughout. Type 302 is an 18/8 chrome-nickel alloy, which gives this shim stock good corrosion resistance and enough ductility to cut, layer, and form without cracking. Machinists, millwrights, maintenance technicians, and HVAC equipment installers reach for stainless shim stock when ferrous or aluminum material is not appropriate for the environment or the fit tolerance required.
This shim stock roll is suited for residential and commercial mechanical work where precise leveling, alignment, or shimming of equipment bases, flanges, bearings, and structural supports is needed. The 6-inch width provides enough material to cut custom-sized shims for a wide range of component footprints without excessive waste. The 302 stainless grade is a common choice for applications involving moisture exposure, mild chemical contact, or elevated temperatures where plain carbon steel shims would corrode and lose dimensional integrity over time.
Designed as a general-purpose stainless steel shim stock roll compatible with mechanical alignment and gap-setting applications across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and industrial maintenance work where a 0.025-inch 302 stainless material is specified.
Cut shim stock with aviation snips, a bench shear, or a dedicated shim cutter to avoid burrs that could affect fit tolerances or cause injury. Deburr cut edges before installation in bearing or rotating-component assemblies. Power down or de-energize all associated equipment before inserting shims near electrical or mechanical drive components. Stainless steel shim stock is not a substitute for precision-ground shim sets where tight stack tolerances are required by OEM specifications.
