The Trane A5PH3030A1000 is a single-packaged, convertible heat pump designed for residential heating and cooling applications. This 2.5-ton unit delivers both cooling and heating from a single self-contained cabinet, eliminating the need for a separate indoor coil or outdoor condensing unit. Rated at 13.4 SEER and operating on R-454B refrigerant, the unit runs on a 208-230/1/60 electrical supply. The scroll compressor draws 12.7 running load amps and is paired with a constant torque ECM indoor fan motor for reliable airflow control across four selectable speeds. Licensed HVAC technicians handle installation and commissioning of this equipment.
This packaged heat pump is engineered for convertible multiposition installations, supporting both rooftop and ground-level placement. The self-contained design simplifies installation on residential structures where split-system layouts are impractical. The unit is well-suited for replacement of existing packaged equipment or new construction where a single-cabinet solution is preferred. Electrical supply requirements of 208-230 volts, single-phase, 60 Hz apply to all installations. The indoor fan uses a direct-drive ECM motor with a 10.62-inch diameter wheel for consistent static pressure performance.
This unit supersedes part numbers 11640950, A5PH3030, and RA5PH3030A1000A. It is part of the Trane A5PH3030A series of single packaged heat pumps and is designed as a convertible replacement or new-install unit compatible with standard rooftop curb dimensions and downflow duct configurations where specifications align.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the manufacturer's installation and maintenance documentation. Disconnect all electrical power at the service panel before beginning any work on the unit. R-454B refrigerant handling requires EPA Section 608 certification and equipment rated for A2L refrigerants. Verify that the supply circuit, disconnect, and overcurrent protection are sized to the unit's minimum circuit ampacity and maximum overcurrent protection rating before energizing.
