The A5PA3048A1000 is intended for light commercial and residential rooftop or ground-level installations where downflow or horizontal duct connections are required. Its self-contained design simplifies the installation footprint by eliminating the need for a separate indoor air handler or furnace. The unit is factory charged with the system refrigerant charge for the outdoor unit. A heat strip option is included, making it suitable for year-round comfort in mild heating climates where gas heat is not available or desired.
Designed as an OEM packaged unit within the RunTru by Trane A5PA3 series, compatible with downflow and horizontal duct configurations at 208-230/1/60 power supply. Verify duct dimensions, electrical service capacity, and thermostat compatibility before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician holding the appropriate EPA Section 608 certification for handling R-454B refrigerant. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power before servicing the unit. Follow local mechanical and electrical codes, including applicable sections of the NEC, when sizing disconnect means, wiring, and overcurrent protection. Do not operate the unit below the minimum ambient temperature specified in the equipment documentation.
