The TRANE YSC036G4RMB20CP is a 3-ton (36,000 BTU/h) packaged gas/electric rooftop unit (RTU) designed for light-commercial applications. This gas-pack RTU integrates heating and cooling into a single cabinet mounted on a commercial rooftop curb, eliminating the need for a separate indoor air handler or furnace. Operating on 460-volt, 3-phase power, it uses R-410A refrigerant for the cooling circuit. Licensed commercial HVAC technicians are the primary installers and service personnel for this class of equipment.
The YSC036G4RMB20CP is intended for light-commercial rooftop installations such as retail spaces, small office buildings, and similar structures requiring a self-contained heating and cooling solution. The 3-ton cooling capacity suits spaces in the range typical of smaller commercial zones. The 460V 3-phase electrical configuration is standard for commercial building power infrastructure and is not suited for residential single-phase service. Installation requires a properly sized rooftop curb adapter and ductwork connections at the unit cabinet.
Designed as an OEM packaged rooftop gas-electric unit for light-commercial applications requiring 3-ton cooling capacity, 460V 3-phase power, and R-410A refrigerant systems.
Installation must be performed by a licensed commercial HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the applicable sections of the International Mechanical Code (IMC). Disconnect and lock out all electrical power and shut off the gas supply before servicing or rigging the unit onto the roof curb. The rooftop curb must be level and structurally rated for the unit weight before placement. R-410A refrigerant handling requires EPA Section 608 certification.
