The TRANE TSJ090A4S000ZPX is a packaged rooftop unit (RTU) combining gas heat and electric cooling in a single cabinet designed for commercial rooftop installation. Rated at 90,000 BTU/h nominal gross cooling capacity, this 7.5-ton unit runs on R-410A refrigerant and is wired for 460-volt, 60 Hz, 3-phase power. Licensed commercial HVAC technicians are the primary installers. The self-contained design consolidates the refrigeration circuit, gas heat section, and air-distribution components into one weatherized enclosure, reducing rooftop penetrations and simplifying service access compared to split systems.
This unit is suited for light commercial and small commercial applications such as retail spaces, office buildings, and similar low-rise structures requiring rooftop-mounted cooling and gas heating. The 3-phase 460-volt electrical configuration makes it appropriate for facilities with commercial electrical service. It is intended for new construction or direct replacement of existing rooftop equipment of matching tonnage and voltage class.
Designed as an OEM packaged rooftop replacement or new-installation unit for light commercial structures requiring 7.5-ton cooling capacity with gas heat at 460-volt 3-phase service.
Installation must be performed by a licensed commercial HVAC technician familiar with rooftop equipment and local mechanical and electrical codes. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power and shut off the gas supply before any service work. Refrigerant handling requires EPA Section 608 certification. Follow the applicable sections of the International Mechanical Code and National Electrical Code for equipment mounting, duct connections, electrical disconnect sizing, and gas line connection.
