The TRADEPRO tp-e50-3sp1 is a permanent split capacitor (PSC) direct-drive blower motor rated at 1/2 HP, 115 VAC, and 1,075 RPM across three selectable speeds. Built on a 48Y NEMA frame with open air over (OPAO) enclosure, this motor is engineered for continuous running duty (S1) in forced-air HVAC applications. It features a self-aligning bearing system with reversible rotation, making it adaptable to a wide range of blower configurations. Every unit undergoes 100% functional testing during manufacturing and again after final assembly, covering input power, Hi-Pot, and continuity checks. Licensed HVAC technicians and mechanical contractors install this motor in residential and light commercial air-handling systems.
This motor is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air systems where a fixed fractional PSC direct-drive blower motor is required. The three operating speeds of 800, 950, and 1,075 RPM provide flexibility for multi-speed air handler and furnace blower applications. The 48Y frame and 5-inch keyed shaft with 0.5-inch diameter allow drop-in fitment in a broad range of blower housings. The side shell is pre-drilled to accept standard mount wings and resilient mount wings, supporting multiple mounting orientations on the job.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential and light commercial forced-air blower applications using a 48Y frame, 1/2 HP, 115 VAC, 3-speed PSC direct-drive motor configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all power to the air-handling unit before removing the existing motor or making any wiring connections. Verify the run capacitor rating matches the required 10 MFD, 370 or 440 volt specification before energizing the motor. Consult local mechanical codes and the equipment manufacturer's service documentation for mounting orientation, airflow direction, and wiring terminal assignments.
