The TPI sp323 is a Bluetooth-enabled smart temperature clamp probe designed for field measurement on copper pipe systems. It clamps directly onto pipe surfaces and transmits temperature readings wirelessly to a compatible device, eliminating the need to stand at the pipe during diagnostic work. The sp323 covers a measurement range of -40 degrees F to 185 degrees F, making it suitable for refrigerant line temperature checks, supply and return water temperature measurement, and general HVAC-R diagnostics. It runs on three AAA batteries and fits copper pipe from 1/4 inch up to 1-1/2 inch in diameter. HVAC technicians and plumbers use this probe to speed up system diagnostics without manual contact thermometer placement.
The sp323 is intended for use in residential and light commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing service applications. It is well suited for delta-T checks across coils, heat exchangers, and water heaters, as well as suction and liquid line temperature logging during refrigerant charge verification. The Bluetooth connectivity allows a technician to monitor readings remotely from a tablet or smartphone while performing other service tasks at the unit.
Designed for use with copper pipe ranging from 1/4 inch to 1-1/2 inch in diameter. Intended for use with a Bluetooth-compatible device running a supported TPI application for data display and logging.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians or qualified plumbing professionals. Shut down the system or isolate the line before attaching the probe clamp where system conditions require it. Ensure the clamp contact surfaces are clean and seated flush against the pipe for accurate surface temperature readings. Do not use this probe on pipe materials or sizes outside the specified range, as improper fitment will affect measurement accuracy.
