The TP-LINK USA CORPORATION POE150S is a single-port Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector designed to deliver both data and DC power over a single Ethernet cable to PoE-compatible network devices. It eliminates the need for a separate power adapter at the powered device end, simplifying cable runs in installations where a PoE-capable switch is not available. Electrical and low-voltage network technicians use this injector to power access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones, and similar IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at compatible equipment in both residential and light commercial deployments.
The POE150S fits installations where a single network drop needs to supply power to a remote device without replacing the existing non-PoE switch. Typical scenarios include adding a wireless access point in a location without a nearby outlet, mounting an IP surveillance camera at a ceiling or exterior location, or powering a VoIP phone on a desk run from a legacy switch. The injector is sold as a single unit and is suited for use in low-voltage structured cabling work.
Designed as an OEM-style single-port PoE injector for use with IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at powered devices requiring PoE over a standard Ethernet connection.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed low-voltage or network technician following local structured cabling codes. Power down or unplug the injector before connecting or disconnecting Ethernet cables to avoid potential damage to connected equipment. Verify that the powered device is rated for the PoE standard supported by this injector before connecting. Follow NEC low-voltage wiring guidelines for cable routing and termination.
