The TOOL-FLO FC094R18GP26EI is a single-ended carbide cutoff insert designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built from micrograin solid carbide in the GP26 grade and finished with a PVD-applied TiN coating, this insert delivers wear resistance and edge stability at the cutting zone. The right-hand lead angle geometry suits standard right-hand turning setups. The 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch decimal) cutting width is suited for narrow parting cuts where minimal material removal and tight tolerances are required. It is seated and clamped in compatible FC-series toolholders. Machinists and tooling technicians handling production turning work will recognize this as a direct catalog replacement.
This insert is intended for use in turning and parting applications on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials where a clamped, single-end carbide insert is specified. The FC series platform is used in production shop environments running CNC lathes that accept clamp-style cutoff toolholders. The right-hand insert hand and right-hand lead angle make this appropriate for standard front-toolpost cutoff work. It is sold individually and ordered in single-piece quantities.
Designed for use with FC-series clamp-style cutoff toolholders that accept the 094 insert size code. Confirm toolholder seat geometry and insert pocket dimensions before installation.
Carbide cutoff inserts are seated and clamped by a toolholder clamp screw; ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the turret is in a safe index position before changing inserts. Inspect the toolholder pocket for chips or debris that could cause improper seating or edge chipping. Do not exceed the toolholder manufacturer's recommended clamping torque. Proper overhang and workpiece support are critical in parting operations to prevent deflection and insert breakage.
