The TOOL-FLO 9HTS1 is a T6 Torx countersunk clamp screw designed to secure indexable inserts in boring and threading toolholders. With a 1-72 inch thread size and a 3/32 inch overall length, this screw is engineered for the precise clamping forces required in indexable tooling systems. The countersunk head profile seats flush against the insert pocket, maintaining accurate insert positioning during cutting operations. Licensed machinists, tool crib technicians, and CNC setup specialists install and replace these screws as part of routine insert changeovers.
This screw is used in boring and threading applications across both production and job-shop environments. It is compatible with a range of TOOL-FLO BSR and CCBI series toolholders as well as CSBI series boring bars. The 1-72 thread is a fine-pitch standard common to small-diameter indexable clamping hardware, making thread engagement reliable and consistent across compatible toolholder bodies. It pairs directly with the BSVR and CDCD insert families listed in the compatibility section below.
Toolholder compatibility includes: BSR-250S, BSR-250SC, CCBI-165/156-6-7R, CCBI-180/187-4-5R, CCBI-180/500-7/8-5R, CCBI-250/500-1 1/4-0R, CCBI-250/500-1 1/4-5R, CCBI-250-4-0R, CCBI-250-4-5R, CSBI-165/187-1/2-7R, CSBI-180/187-2 1/2-5R, CSBI-180/500-1/2-5R, CSBI-250-3-0R, and CSBI-250-3-5R. Insert compatibility includes: BSVR 12UN, BSVR 14NPT, BSVR 16UN, BSVR 18NPT, BSVR 18UN, BSVR 20UN, BSVR 24UN, BSVR 27NPT, BSVR 28UN, BSVR 32UN, BSVR 55, BSVR 60, CDCD-500, CDCD-505, CDCD-51, CDCG-500L, CDCG-505L, and CDCG-51L.
Install and replace using a T6 Torx driver or T6 Torx key. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before accessing the insert pocket. Avoid over-torquing, as the 1-72 thread is fine-pitch and small-diameter; follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specification printed in the toolholder documentation. Inspect the screw threads and head seat for wear or damage at each insert change and replace the screw if deformation is visible.
