The TOOL-FLO 9HTF74 is a TF-style Flo-Lock clamp designed to secure indexable inserts in compatible toolholders used in turning and boring operations. Part of the Flo-Lock series, this clamp provides positive insert retention through a lever-style clamping mechanism that keeps the cutting insert seated under load. It supports both left-hand and right-hand cutting directions, making it a versatile service part for shops running mixed toolholder configurations. Machinists and tool crib technicians handling indexable tooling replacement will find this a direct-fit component for the supported holder families. Weighing 0.01 pounds, it ships as a single-piece unit.
The 9HTF74 is suited for use in CNC turning centers and manual lathes where Flo-Lock-style toolholders are in service. It is compatible with shank-style and flanged toolholder configurations across the FLEL, FLRL, and FLSR series, covering common OD turning and boring applications in both production and job-shop environments. The clamp is interchangeable across left-hand and right-hand holder variants within the supported families, reducing the number of unique spare parts required on hand.
Compatible with the following toolholder styles: A_-FLEL, A_M-FLEL, FLEL, FLRL, and FLSR. Confirmed complete toolholder compatibility includes A08-FLER/L, A10-FLER/L, A12-FLER/L, FL.R/L 122B, and FL.R/L 162C. Supports both left-hand and right-hand cutting directions.
This clamp is installed and serviced by machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with indexable tooling systems. Before replacing a clamp, ensure the toolholder is removed from the machine and the spindle is fully stopped and locked out per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Use the manufacturer-specified torx or hex key appropriate for the clamp screw - do not overtighten, as clamp screw torque directly affects insert seating and surface finish. Inspect the clamp seat and insert pocket for wear or debris before installing the replacement clamp.
