The TOOL-FLO 93101216B is an indexable threading toolholder designed for external threading and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Part of the FLER series, this right-hand holder accepts FL 3L inserts secured by a clamp-style holding method. The shank measures 0.75 inches wide by 0.75 inches tall with an overall length of 4.5 inches. A maximum depth of cut of 0.21 inches and a back-of-bar to cutting edge distance of 1.125 inches make this holder well suited for precise thread-form applications. It is installed and set up by machinists and CNC operators working in production or job-shop environments.
This toolholder is built for external threading and grooving on turned parts in both production and low-volume machining environments. The right-hand orientation is standard for conventional lathe setups. The FLER series design provides a rigid, repeatable platform for threading inserts, reducing setup time when indexing worn inserts. The 4.5-inch overall length fits standard OD turning tool blocks and quick-change toolpost systems commonly found on production lathes.
Designed for use with FL 3L series threading inserts. Part of the FLER toolholder series for external threading and grooving applications.
This toolholder is installed by machinists following standard OD turning tool setup procedures. Ensure the machine turret or toolpost is powered down and the spindle is fully stopped before mounting or adjusting the holder. Secure the shank in the tool block per the machine manufacturer's torque guidelines for the block size. Verify insert seating and clamp engagement before running any cutting passes.
