The TOOL-FLO 593094LN4C is a solid carbide grooving insert designed for precision grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to GP50 grade with a PVD-applied TiN finish, this left-hand insert delivers controlled chip formation and consistent surface finish in steel and similar workpiece materials. The insert features a 4.80 mm cutting width, a maximum depth of cut of 4.57 mm, and a positive rake angle of 55 degrees, making it well-suited for light to medium grooving passes where dimensional accuracy is critical. Machinists and tooling specialists install this insert into compatible Flo-Lock series toolholders.
This insert is part of TOOL-FLO's Flo-Lock series, intended for use in production turning environments where repeatable groove geometry is required. The left-hand orientation suits specific toolholder configurations and approach directions on the lathe. It is applicable to grooving operations on steel workpieces and is sized for use with toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch gage diameter. Typical applications include external grooving and profiling on horizontal and slant-bed CNC turning equipment in both job shop and production settings.
Designed for use with TOOL-FLO Flo-Lock series toolholders accepting insert size 3094 with a 3/8 inch gage diameter. ISO code FLR-3094L may be used to identify compatible holders. Intended for left-hand toolholder configurations on CNC turning equipment.
Insert seating and clamping should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician following the toolholder manufacturer's torque and clamping specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all motion is locked out before changing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping components for chips or debris before seating the new insert. Do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended depth-of-cut or feed rate ranges for this insert grade and coating.
