The TOOL-FLO 562694LN4C is a solid carbide grooving insert designed for precision grooving and parting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. Built to the FLG2094 geometry in the GP50 grade, this left-hand insert features a TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating applied via PVD process, which extends tool life and reduces built-up edge. The cutting width is 0.0941 inches (2.39 mm) with a maximum depth of cut of 0.1100 inches (2.79 mm). The positive rake angle of 55 degrees promotes clean chip flow and reduced cutting forces. This insert is sold individually and is intended for professional machining environments.
This insert is suited for grooving and cutoff operations in job shops, production machining facilities, and toolroom environments. The FLG2094 geometry is optimized for left-hand applications and is rated for use on stainless steel as a secondary workpiece material, making it appropriate for shops running a variety of ferrous materials. The Flo-Lock series holder system is required for proper seating and clamping. Machinists and CNC operators working with ISO code FLG-2094L tooling will find this insert a direct fit.
Designed for use in TOOL-FLO Flo-Lock series grooving toolholders requiring the FLG2094 insert style. ISO code FLG-2094L. Compatible toolholders must accept a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) gage diameter insert with a 0.1500 inch overall width.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked before changing inserts. Use the appropriate Flo-Lock torx or hex key as specified by the toolholder manufacturer to seat the insert properly - do not overtighten. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping mechanism for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Always verify insert hand orientation (left vs. right) matches the toolholder before beginning any cutting operation.
