The TOOL-FLO 32158AC50D is a solid carbide laydown threading insert engineered for internal API Round thread cutting at 8 threads per inch (TPI). Manufactured from micrograin carbide with an AC50D grade and a PVD-applied AlTiN coating, this insert delivers reliable edge retention and heat resistance in demanding threading operations. The 60-degree included angle conforms to the API Round thread profile, making it a direct-fit solution for oilfield tubular and casing thread work. With a 1/2 inch inscribed circle (IC) and a thickness of 0.189 inches, the insert seats securely in compatible L43-series laydown toolholders. Licensed machinists and CNC lathe operators are the primary installers.
