The TOOL-FLO 0139000AC3R is a solid carbide on-edge threading insert engineered for cutting 60-degree V-form threads on both external and internal workpiece features. With a 0.5-inch inscribed circle (IC) and a neutral cutting direction, this insert suits a wide range of CNC lathe and threading applications where consistent thread form and tool life are priorities. The AlTiN coating, applied via PVD process, provides thermal resistance and wear resistance across diverse workpiece materials. The TNMA insert style and neutral rake geometry deliver stable cutting action and predictable chip control during threading passes.
This insert is intended for threading operations on materials spanning multiple ISO material groups, including ferrous, non-ferrous, stainless, heat-resistant alloys, and cast materials. It covers a thread pitch range of 5 to 24 TPI for both external and internal thread forms, making it a versatile option for production threading on turned components. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production facilities will find this insert compatible with standard on-edge threading toolholders requiring the TNMA insert style.
Designed for use in on-edge threading toolholders accepting the TNMA insert style with a size code 43 and 0.5-inch IC. Compatible with workpiece materials classified under ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S.
Threading inserts should be seated and secured by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following the toolholder manufacturer torque and clamping specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all axes are at a safe home position before indexing or replacing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating a new insert. Verify thread pitch and cutting direction settings in the CNC program before initiating the first threading pass.
