The TOOL-FLO 0111000AC3R is a solid carbide on-edge threading insert designed for cutting 60-degree V-form threads on both external and internal applications. Running in a neutral cutting direction with a positive rake angle of 5 degrees, this insert handles a thread range of 8 to 36 TPI in both external and internal configurations. The 0.375-inch inscribed circle (IC) and a corner radius of 0.003 inches support precise thread form geometry. An AlTiN coating applied via PVD process improves wear resistance and thermal stability across a wide range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians install this insert in compatible threading toolholders on turning centers and manual lathes.
This insert is suited for universal material applications, covering material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S - spanning hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous materials, carbon and alloy steels, and heat-resistant superalloys. The on-edge series orientation positions the cutting edge for improved chip control and consistent thread form during both single-pass and multi-pass threading cycles. It is appropriate for residential shop, job shop, and production floor threading operations where a single insert grade must handle varied workpiece materials.
The TOOL-FLO 0111000AC3R uses insert style TPMC with insert size code 32 and is designed for use in on-edge series threading toolholders that accept this insert style and IC size. Confirm toolholder specifications before ordering.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Power down and lock out the machine before seating or changing the insert. Ensure the countersunk clamping screw is torqued to the toolholder manufacturer's specification - do not estimate by feel. Verify insert seating and thread form with a thread gauge after the first pass before committing to a full production run.
