The TITAN USA TE81237 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hard materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers the heat resistance and edge retention needed when cutting alloy steels, stainless steel, and other difficult-to-machine materials. The cutter measures 0.6875 inches in diameter with a 1.625-inch length of cut, a 0.5-inch Weldon flat shank, and an overall length of 3.625 inches. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining good surface finish. This is a single-end, right-hand cut tool sold individually and suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The TE81237 is appropriate for general-purpose and production milling in job shops, toolrooms, and manufacturing environments. Its centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling, slotting, and profiling cuts. The Weldon flat shank provides a secure, anti-pullout connection in standard end mill holders. This tool is well suited for machinists working with carbon steel, alloy steel, and stainless steel where carbide tooling is not required or where cobalt is preferred for interrupted cuts or manual-machine use.
Designed as a standard 0.5-inch Weldon flat shank end mill compatible with any end mill holder, collet chuck, or Weldon-style holder accepting a 0.5-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before mounting or removing the tool. Secure the Weldon flat against the set screw in the holder to the appropriate holder specification to prevent axial pullout during cutting. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use and replace when edge condition degrades to avoid workpiece damage or tool breakage.
