The TITAN USA TE80563 is a hex rethreading die designed to restore damaged or corroded external threads on fasteners and threaded rod. Sized for 5/8-11 UNC thread, it cuts right-hand threads and fits a standard 1-1/4 inch hex wrench or die stock for easy hand operation. The die body measures 5/8 inch thick and is machined from carbon steel, providing the hardness needed to chase threads on steel, iron, and similar materials. It is used by plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC mechanics, electricians, and general maintenance trades to recondition field-damaged fasteners without full replacement.
This rethreading die is suited for residential and commercial maintenance applications where threaded fasteners have been cross-threaded, corroded, or otherwise damaged. It is commonly used on bolt ends, threaded rod, and machine screws in mechanical rooms, rooftop equipment, and structural assemblies. The 5/8-11 UNC thread size is one of the most common coarse-thread specifications in trade work, making this die a practical addition to any service van or shop tool kit.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement rethreading die for use with standard 1-1/4 inch hex die stocks compatible with 5/8-11 UNC external thread applications.
Rethreading dies are installed by licensed tradespeople or experienced maintenance technicians. Before use, de-energize, depressurize, or otherwise isolate any system containing the fastener being chased. Apply cutting oil to the die and fastener to reduce friction and extend die life. Run the die slowly onto the damaged thread to avoid cross-threading or further damage to the workpiece.
