The TITAN USA TC97512 is a 4-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineered materials. With a 0.1875-inch (3/16-inch) cutting diameter and a 1.125-inch length of cut, this tool delivers clean, accurate results in both peripheral and slot milling applications. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and edge retention required for demanding production environments. A TiCN coating reduces friction and extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Machinists, toolroom operators, and CNC programmers working in job shops or production facilities are the primary users of this end mill.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, aluminum, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills. Its upcut, right-hand flute geometry makes it appropriate for conventional and climb milling passes. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled start hole. The 0.1875-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets, end mill holders, and weldon-style toolholders. At 3 inches overall length, it provides adequate reach for most standard depth applications without sacrificing rigidity.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill for use in ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and weldon toolholders accepting a 0.1875-inch shank diameter on CNC and manual milling equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator following established toolholding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or tool-change state before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank to the recommended minimum engagement depth in the holder and torque the retention screw or collet nut according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before use and replace if edge integrity is compromised.
