The TITAN USA TC87822 is a 4-flute solid carbide chamfer mill designed for chamfering, deburring, and edge-breaking operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life in demanding cutting environments. The 3/8-inch shank diameter and 2.5-inch overall length make it a compact, rigid tool suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals select this geometry for consistent, repeatable chamfer angles in production and job-shop settings.
This chamfer mill is used in metalworking applications requiring clean edge preparation on drilled holes, milled slots, and part profiles. It is well-suited to light-to-medium-duty chamfering on steel, stainless, aluminum, and similar materials. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation. Typical applications include part deburring after drilling, thread lead-in chamfering, and aesthetic edge finishing on machined components.
Designed as a standard 3/8-inch shank chamfer mill compatible with ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and set-screw style tool holders used in CNC machining centers and conventional vertical mills.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom professional. Secure the shank fully into the tool holder to the recommended gauge line and confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling per machine safety protocols. Avoid exceeding the rated length of cut to prevent tool deflection or premature edge wear.
