The TITAN USA TC87240 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in machine shop and production environments. With a reamer diameter of 0.1890 inches and a tight tolerance of +0.0002 to -0.0000 inches, this tool delivers consistent, accurate bore sizing in a single pass. The 4-flute straight geometry provides smooth cutting action on a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. Overall length is 2.75 inches with a flute length of 0.875 inches. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard chucks and collets. This reamer is installed and operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC and manual machining applications.
The TC87240 is suited for finishing drilled or bored holes requiring close dimensional tolerances in production and job-shop settings. Its solid carbide construction gives it the hardness and wear resistance needed for high-cycle applications and harder workpiece materials. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the tool ready for use without additional prep. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation. It is commonly used in applications where wire-gauge hole sizing is required, specifically the number 12 wire gauge diameter range of 0.1500 to 0.1999 inches.
Designed as a standard chucking reamer for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes or mills equipped with a straight-cylindrical chuck or collet that accepts the shank diameter of this tool. Part of the TITAN USA TC87 series covering the 0.1500 to 0.1999 inch reamer diameter range.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with reaming procedures. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before use, and verify runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut. Power down the machine spindle completely before mounting or removing the tool. Do not use this reamer as a drill — always pre-drill or bore the hole to the appropriate undersize before reaming.
