The TITAN USA TC74405 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials. It features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) diameter, a 0.0200 inch corner radius, and a 4-flute right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle. The cutting zone extends 0.7500 inches in reach length, and overall length is 2.5 inches. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and surface hardness, making this end mill well-suited for roughing and finishing operations in superalloys, stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and cast iron. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install this tool in standard straight-shank toolholders.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines where precision corner radii and edge integrity are required. Its long-length classification, normal pitch, and centercutting geometry support both slotting and profiling in ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and stainless steel. The 0.0200 inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in hard and abrasive workpiece materials. Typical applications include aerospace component machining, die and mold work, and precision part production involving superalloys and titanium alloys.
Designed for use with standard straight-shank toolholders. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder collet to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before operation. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut against material-specific machining parameters before running the tool. Inspect the cutting edges and coating condition before each use; do not run a chipped or damaged end mill.
