The TITAN USA TC74112 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding materials including superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, Inconel, and alloy steel. It features a 3/16-inch cutting diameter, a 0.50 mm corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a medium 30-degree helix angle. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating improves heat resistance and tool life in ferrous and high-temperature alloy applications. This is a single-end, straight-shank tool rated for both roughing and finishing operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals select this end mill for precision profiling and contouring where edge strength and radius accuracy are critical.
The TC74112 is suited for CNC machining centers and manual milling operations requiring a compact-diameter end mill with reliable corner geometry. Its regular-length configuration and 5/8-inch length of cut make it practical for shallow-to-medium-depth profiling passes in aerospace, medical, and industrial component work. The straight-cylindrical shank mounts directly into standard collet chucks and toolholders. The tool excels in applications involving superalloys and titanium where heat buildup and edge wear are primary concerns.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore collet chucks and toolholders accepting a 3/16-inch cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials are superalloys, titanium alloys, stainless steel, cast iron, Inconel, and alloy steel.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the retention nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as runout beyond the corner radius tolerance will degrade edge geometry and accelerate wear.
