The TITAN USA TC73936 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built with a 3/8 inch diameter and a 1/64 inch (0.0150 inch) corner radius, this single-end tool features four helical flutes with a right-hand cutting direction and a 30-degree helix angle. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating improves heat resistance and tool life when cutting hard or abrasive workpiece materials. With a 5/8 inch length of cut and a 2 inch overall length, this stub-length end mill fits standard straight-cylindrical toolholders with a 3/8 inch shank. It is suited for both roughing and finishing operations.
The TC73936 is intended for use on CNC machining centers and manual mills where high surface integrity and edge strength are required. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloy, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, and other ferrous metals. The stub-length geometry provides added rigidity, reducing deflection during aggressive cuts in difficult-to-machine materials. A licensed machinist or CNC operator typically installs and runs this tool in production or job-shop environments.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch shank diameter. Suitable for machining superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron workpieces.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC programmer familiar with carbide end mill applications. Secure the shank fully in a compatible toolholder and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material and machine type, as carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to chipping from improper setup.
