The TITAN USA TC64732 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous materials. It features a 1/2-inch cutting diameter with a 0.04-inch corner radius, a 1-1/4-inch length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length. The tool is single-end, centercutting, and coated with ZrN (zirconium nitride) via a PVD process, which improves surface hardness and wear resistance during high-speed passes. The 2-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a coarse pitch and high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and finishing cuts where chip packing is a concern. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is optimized for cutting non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, brass, and bronze. Its coarse pitch and high helix design reduce cutting forces and help prevent built-up edge on softer, gummier materials that tend to weld to the tool. The 1/2-inch straight cylindrical shank is compatible with standard ER collet chucks and other common toolholders used on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The regular-length flute configuration suits most standard depth-of-cut requirements without the rigidity loss associated with extended-reach designs.
Designed for use with standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and toolholders accepting a 1/2-inch straight cylindrical shank. Intended for use on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills where non-ferrous workpiece materials are being machined.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator following standard toolholder setup procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state before inserting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout accelerates corner radius wear on carbide tooling.
