The TITAN USA TC63008 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in milling applications. It features a 3/8-inch cutting diameter, a 5/8-inch length of cut, and three right-hand flutes ground from micrograin carbide stock. A 45-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces chatter during aggressive cuts. The ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating adds surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This is a single-end, centercutting tool capable of plunge cuts as well as conventional profiling passes. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, manufacturing facilities, and tool-and-die environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for finish and semi-finish milling on a wide range of materials including aluminum, brass, steel, and plastics. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC knee mills. At 2 inches overall length, the TC63008 provides a compact, rigid setup that minimizes deflection in shallow-to-moderate-depth cuts. It is appropriate for slot milling, peripheral milling, and contour work where a 5/8-inch depth of cut is sufficient.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard 3/8-inch collet or end mill holder tooling systems on vertical machining centers and CNC mills.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use, and verify runout with a dial indicator when tight tolerances are required.
