The TITAN USA TC61732 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. It carries a 0.5000 inch mill diameter, a 0.0400 inch corner radius, and five flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral configuration with a 45-degree high helix angle. The cutting end is a stub-length geometry with a 0.6250 inch reach length and a 0.1870 inch length of cut. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and hardness, making this tool well suited for dry or semi-dry cutting in tough materials. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, aerospace, or precision manufacturing facilities are the primary users.
This end mill is intended for roughing and finishing operations on superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, ferrous metals, and cast iron. The stub-length, straight-cylindrical shank fits standard toolholders with a 0.5000 inch bore. The high helix angle improves chip evacuation in gummy or work-hardening materials. The single-end, centercutting designation allows plunge entry where the application requires it. It is particularly well matched to tight-tolerance contouring and profiling passes where corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 0.5000 inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloys, Inconel, stainless steel, alloy steel, ferrous metals, and cast iron.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The machine spindle must be powered down and brought to a full stop before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Confirm toolholder bore size matches the 0.5000 inch shank diameter and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for recommended speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material.
