The TITAN USA TC29876 is a 4-flute solid carbide roughing end mill designed for aggressive material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous machining applications. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides high heat resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting conditions. With a 1/2-inch mill diameter and 1-1/2-inch length of cut, this single-end tool is suited for milling operations that require both roughing and finishing capability. The corner radius end type reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, helping to minimize chipping during heavy passes. This tool is appropriate for use by machinists and toolroom professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
The TC29876 is built for general-purpose roughing on a wide range of materials where a coarse-pitch spiral flute pattern is preferred. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, reducing heat buildup and cutting forces during extended runs. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make this a standard configuration compatible with conventional CNC setups. The 1/2-inch shank diameter matches the 1/2-inch mill diameter, allowing direct installation in standard collet and end mill holders without reduction sleeves. Centercutting capability allows plunge milling when required by the operation.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or production end mill for use in standard 1/2-inch collet and end mill holder systems on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or holder and torque the retention nut to the tool holder specification before operation. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use.
