The TITAN USA TC22638 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining environments. With a 1/4 inch diameter, 4 helical flutes, and a 0.03 inch corner radius, this tool handles both roughing and finishing operations in a single setup. The AlCromax (ALCRO-MAX) PVD coating provides heat and wear resistance suited to cutting superalloys, titanium, stainless steel, and cast iron. Overall length is 2.5 inches with a 3/4 inch length of cut and a 1/4 inch straight-cylindrical shank. A high-helix, right-hand flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup at the cutting edge.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling applications where tight tolerances and surface finish matter. It is well suited to cutting superalloys, Inconel, titanium alloy, stainless steel, alloy steel, and cast iron. The single-end, centercutting design allows direct plunge entry and slot milling. It mounts directly into a compatible toolholder with a straight-cylindrical shank. Typical users include machinists and CNC operators working in aerospace, defense, medical device, and industrial manufacturing environments.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical shank toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch shank. Primary workpiece materials include superalloys, titanium alloy, stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, Inconel, and other ferrous and high-temperature alloys.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC operators using a compatible toolholder. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool change procedure is complete before handling or measuring the end mill. Verify shank runout and toolholder cleanliness before securing the tool to maintain diameter tolerance of -0.0020 to 0.0000 inches. Do not exceed the rated depth of cut for the material being machined, and follow shop-specific feeds and speeds guidelines for carbide tooling in high-temperature alloys.
