The TITAN USA TC20114 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit sized to Letter N (0.3020 inches), designed for high-precision drilling in demanding production and maintenance environments. The 135-degree split point geometry reduces walking and thrust force at entry, making it well suited for hard or work-hardening materials. At 2.5 inches overall length, the screw machine format keeps the bit rigid and limits deflection in short-reach applications. The bright, uncoated finish means the carbide substrate is exposed as-ground, with no additional coating that could alter the cutting edge geometry. Two regular spiral flutes with a 1.25-inch flute length clear chips efficiently during the cut. This bit is sold individually and is intended for use by machinists, maintenance technicians, and tool-room personnel.
The TC20114 is suited for drilling operations where a standard jobber-length bit would flex or chatter due to its longer reach. Screw machine length bits are commonly used in CNC machining centers, turret lathes, drill presses, and hand-held operations where stub rigidity is a priority. The solid carbide construction makes it appropriate for cutting ferrous metals, cast iron, hardened steels, and other abrasive materials where high-speed steel tooling dulls prematurely. The straight cylindrical shank seats directly into standard drill chucks and collet holders without adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct tooling selection for standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a straight cylindrical shank in the Letter N diameter range (0.3000 to 0.3500 inches).
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with rotating cutting tools. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is de-energized or in a safe-lock state before loading or removing the bit from any chuck or collet holder. Inspect the shank and flutes for chips or cracks before each use, as solid carbide is brittle and can fracture if run with existing damage. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier feed and speed recommendations for the specific workpiece material.
