The TITAN USA TC20103 is a screw machine length drill bit ground from solid carbide and sized to Letter C, equal to 0.2420 inches in diameter. Shorter than jobber-length bits, the screw machine format provides added rigidity for close-tolerance hole work on drill presses, CNC machining centers, and manual mills. The 135-degree split point self-centers on contact, reducing the need for a center-punch mark and minimizing walking on flat or curved stock. Two regular spiral flutes evacuate chips efficiently, and the bright, uncoated finish keeps the carbide surface hard without the added thickness of a coating. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die workers, and precision sheet metal technicians are the primary users of this bit.
The TC20103 is suited to drilling ferrous and non-ferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials where hole location accuracy and a clean entry are required. The Series 200 designation places it within a standard screw machine geometry line. With a 1.25-inch flute length and an overall length of 2.5 inches, it fits standard drill chucks and collet-style toolholders commonly found on benchtop and floor-standing machines in production and maintenance shops. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both high-volume production runs and single-piece repair work.
Designed as a standard screw machine length carbide drill bit for use in drill chucks and collet toolholders accepting a straight cylindrical shank of 0.2420 inches in diameter.
Installation and use of carbide drill bits should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with cutting speed and feed rate selection for carbide tooling. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify that runout is within the tolerance required for the application. Carbide is brittle compared to high-speed steel and can fracture if subjected to lateral shock or improper feed rates. Always bring the spindle to a full stop before measuring, adjusting, or removing the bit.
