The TITAN USA TC20102 is a screw machine length drill bit sized to Letter B (0.2380 inches) with a 135-degree split point and a solid carbide construction. Screw machine length bits are shorter than jobber-length bits, which increases rigidity and reduces deflection in production drilling, CNC work, and close-tolerance applications. The split point geometry allows the bit to start on contact without center-punching and reduces thrust force during entry. The bright, uncoated finish leaves the carbide surface as-ground, which suits dry cutting and applications where coating adhesion or contamination is a concern. This bit is used by machinists, toolmakers, and production drilling personnel in metalworking environments.
The TC20102 is suited for drilling ferrous and non-ferrous metals in production and precision machining settings. The short overall length of 2.5 inches and the 1.25-inch flute length make it a practical choice for drill presses, CNC machining centers, and screw machines where tool stick-out must be minimized. The 2-flute regular spiral flute design promotes chip evacuation in typical through-hole and blind-hole drilling operations. No coolant-through capability is present, so it is intended for use with external coolant or cutting fluid where required by the material.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks, ER collets, and tool holders accepting a straight cylindrical shank at the Letter B diameter (0.2380 inches). Compatible with drill presses, CNC machining centers, and screw machines in typical production metalworking setups.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine powered down and the spindle at a complete stop. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the chuck or collet is torqued to the tool holder manufacturer specification before operation. Use appropriate cutting fluid or external coolant for the workpiece material, as this bit does not support coolant-through delivery. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use — solid carbide is harder than HSS but more brittle and can chip if run at incorrect feeds or speeds.
