The TITAN USA TC20022 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for precision drilling in demanding production and maintenance applications. With a diameter of 11/32 inches (0.3438 inches decimal) and a 135-degree split point, the bit starts on contact without walking, reducing the need for a center punch. The 3-inch overall length and stubby screw machine profile provide rigidity and control in confined spaces. Two spiral flutes with a flute length of 1-3/8 inches evacuate chips efficiently. Right-hand cut geometry and a bright, uncoated finish round out the design. This bit is installed by machinists, millwrights, HVAC fabricators, and industrial maintenance technicians.
The TC20022 suits short-hole drilling operations in metal fabrication shops, production facilities, and field service environments where a standard jobber-length bit would flex or chatter. The screw machine length is particularly effective when drilling through steel, aluminum, and other metals where rigidity directly affects hole accuracy. The solid carbide construction maintains cutting edge integrity at higher feed rates and spindle speeds compared to high-speed steel alternatives, making it appropriate for CNC drill presses, radial arm drills, and handheld drilling equipment where carbide is a viable tooling choice.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide screw machine drill bit for standard straight-shank drill chucks used in CNC and manual drilling equipment.
Installation and use of carbide drill bits should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with appropriate spindle speeds and feed rates for carbide tooling. Always power down and lock out the drill press or drilling equipment before inserting or removing the bit from the chuck. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use, as solid carbide is brittle and sensitive to side loading or impact. Secure the workpiece firmly to prevent movement during drilling.
