The TITAN USA TC19215 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized to wire gauge number 15, with a decimal diameter of 0.1800 inches. It features a 118-degree split point for accurate starting and reduced walking on entry. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the carbide surface exposed for optimal heat dissipation in non-ferrous and aluminum applications. With an overall length of 2.75 inches and a flute length of 1.625 inches, this bit fits standard drill chucks via its straight cylindrical shank. It is designed for use by machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and maintenance trades requiring consistent, repeatable hole quality in light-duty and general-purpose drilling operations.
The TC19215 is rated for drilling aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and similar materials where a solid carbide substrate outperforms high-speed steel in edge retention and dimensional accuracy. The 9xD flute-to-diameter ratio and regular spiral geometry support efficient chip evacuation in short-to-medium depth holes. This bit suits CNC machining centers, benchtop drill presses, and handheld pneumatic or electric drills where a straight shank is required. It carries no coolant-through capability, making it appropriate for dry or externally flooded cutting environments rather than high-pressure through-spindle coolant setups.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber drill for use in any standard drill press, CNC machining center, or handheld drill accepting a straight-shank bit at 0.1800 inches diameter, within the TC19 series range of 0.1500 to 0.2000 inches.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with drill press and CNC tooling procedures. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance for the application. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle before changing or inspecting bits. Solid carbide bits are brittle compared to HSS; avoid side-loading, interrupted cuts at angles, or dropping the tool, as these actions can cause chipping or fracture.
